I upgraded from my DP6 to a hydra last night and now have questions/ issues. After i installed the hydra chip I checked for codes just to be safe, i dont remember if i had any new ones but when i got back from my test drive i checked again and had several codes. P1000 - OBD system readiness test not complete, P1211, and P1636, I looked up the codes and read P1000 is nothing to be concerned about but i never had it before so kinda concerned. I stepped on it kinda heavy just to see what it would do. I also have had the service engine soon light come on several times, including as soon as i turned the truck on. The code stating battery power lost, i dont remember the number but it will pop up again so ill get it soon. Any advise where to look or what to do? I never had any codes pop up before other than too much boost so im kinda upset that after i install the hydra i start having issues.
P1000 is nothing it will show up anytime codes are cleared. P1211 is common on hard acceleration with any chip, P1636 was the PCM losing connection when you swapped chips.
The old chip probably had the P1211 programmed out, Jody is good at doing that so you don't get it everytime you nail the throttle.
Some of that makes sense then. I’m not sure why it never showed before but I never got p1000 after clearing codes before. I think I still get the 1636 but not positive, I’ll check once in a while
I plan on it, I wanted to try out the new tunes and bumped it up to the 120hp race tune just to see what kind of boost and smoke I’d get compared to my previous turbo and tunes. 34-36 psi and very little black smoke plus the truck kinda felt like a rocket
