rubber line just before pump question

Ok just trying to get the inner sizing of the rubber line as a small leak has developed (think a animal may have taken a likeing to it?) anyways I am goind to snip the small section out and add a metal line in its place, so does anyone happen to know the inner diameter of the rubber line? this is on a E99 truck if that matters any. please note im referring to the fuel line.

Just did the hutch mod on my 2000 F450. I used 3/8" ID 30R7 rubber fuel line from the tank pick up to the inlet of the frame mounted pump.

I used 5/16” ID between my Racor PS120 and the pump, with 5/16” barb on that side of the Racor. It is a good fit. I can see why some get a leak when using 3/8”. I used 3/8” line from the tank to the Racor.

3/8 " worked great, it fits tightly over the raised portion of the metal nipple where the factory quick connects lock onto so I don't think air leaks will be an issue. 5/16" works but would be really tight over the raised portion.

In the rubber lines, 5/16 is the next size down from 3/8".

ok, I am looking at the rubber line just before the pump (at the frame) so that is what I am assuming you are referring to, that is where I want to put a pre pump strainer (due to it being easy to access and inspect if I need to ever do so), thanks guys

3/8” line on left from tank. 5/16” line on right to fuel pump. Full disclosure: it was very difficult to get the line to the fuel pump over the quick connect “flange”.

any chance you can take a picture of the reverse side of your mounting set up for the racore? thanks, and that looks like the spot I was talking about. im using 5/16 in and out (both sides) at the moment on the strainer (currently using a filter as the strainer I bought was too large)

My mounting idea for the Racor PS-120. 2" of 1-1/4" x 3/4" aluminum tube as spacers with neoprene washers, 6” long 5/16" bolts, nuts, and washers. Went with 6" bolts, as I have a Racor shield design I want to tack on at a later date.
