Any of you fellas installed these?
I purchased a set and plan to install with a helper this Saturday.
For those of you who installed them yourself, anything you needed in addition that didn't come with the kit?
I plan to get some extra wire, plenty of zip ties, etc.
Any additional tips/tricks you have, I will take those as well.
Thank you.

It wasn't a bad install.
Agreed about extra black zip ties. I would add heat shrink, extra alcohol swamps for the LED light adhesive, dab of silicone for the grommet to fish the OBD2 connectors through the floor.
For me, the most challenging part was connecting the LED Lights on my back. I ended up having to use my own wire connectors with heat shrink.
The other step to watch is attaching the boards to the brackets. Need to make sure they are seated correctly so you don't cross thread.
I also suggest having a rigid wire to fish the harness down the front wheel wells. (Just remembered - When drilling the holes to run the LED wires, make sure you don't drill the holes to low to the body seam.)
I did the install on my back, took my time with it to run the wires very cleanly, zip tie everything. It took me about 3 hours.
Good luck with the install.
I had a few youtube install video's handy in addition to the install instructions.

Skip the AMP LED lights. Go with a waterproof LED strip. The AMP ones are Worthless And have a purple hue. The Amp control box, I mounted on passenger side above the truck ECM (very large wiring harness). The AMP wiring harness is almost exactly the length you need with very little wiggle room. I did it alone in about 1.5-2 hours.
Agreed - it is about a 3 hour install if you take your time and do it solo.
Eric has some excellent tips below.
The wire crimping is a pain under the truck, but do-able.
One thing that saved my old back is a shop stool, and almost wished I'd had a creeper but these trucks are easy to get under and work on.
EDIT: The shop stool was very handy to balance the boards on while attaching as well.
The thing I'd add is if you are interested in doing the override switch, do it at the same time.
Mine came in the mail about half way through the install and it was so much easier routing the cable and doing it all at once.
I ran the override harness right next to the motor harness, and then put the wires up through the same grommet in the floor.

I used the AMP Supplied ones and they have been fine, no issues. Seem well made.
My truck had the wiring harness already there for the step lights. Just needed the “pig-tail” which was 5.00 off Amazon also. Been on there for over a year without an issue. And they are really bright. There is a whole thread on them somewhere around here.
I agree on the strip lighting being better than the AMP lights. 2 of my 4 little adhesive backs have since come unglued, even with good prep. The angle I drilled the hole made it so that the harness was pulling on those guys just a little. With the factory connector, adding the extra undercarriage lights was super easy!

Here are mine that I finished not too long ago. Agreed with posts here that amp LEDs are crap and add the led weatherproof lights mentioned above. Took about 3 hours. And the override switch is at time of install os easier.
Was easy install compared to the others i had to hard wire.
Fish tape to make it easy to get wires down passenger side and i zip tied my control module in a good spot i think. No need for silicone on grommet just drill a very tiny hole and its tight. It’s nice the thought of a path way for wires from the grommet.
I didnt to the amp lights. Didn’t like how it was going to have to be done.
