Hey guys. It only does this on occasion but when you place it in reverse it hesitates and then has a major clunk. Do you think it's the tyranny going out? Is this maybe a common issue? Thanks
Yes , the drain plug looks like a 3/4 inch bolt with a small pipe plug in the center. The "bolt" is a 2 inch long stand tube that holds the level inside the pan... the small plug in the center is removed to see if it OVERFLOWS meaning it was over full.. If NOTHING comes out of the small plug, then it needs more oil... I use a weed sprayer with a rubber plug on the end to push the oil up thru the small hole.......... The final test is to warm the transmission and leave in park, then remove the small plug and final fill until It starts to run backward out of the plug................. If your oil is 12 years old, it would not hurt to remove the big plug and drain the entire pan. Nice to remove pan and clean and new filter, but at least pull the big plug and drain.. you will get about 5 quarts out.

Thank you for the great information! Is there some kind of an adapter that you can use to hook up a hand pump to?
