I tell ya, we are REALLY cooking up here. 104º right now. Thankfully I at least have one rig with AC. This heat is nothing to sneeze at!

Getting out of the heat this weekend in Monterey, high of 67! Reservations for the Sardine Factory Saturday-never been as we usually go to Chart House.

Long day yesterday. Started with meeting in San Leandro, then pick up material in Hayward, on to Greenbrae for delivery and modifications, finally to San Francisco for a vanity and medicine cabinet installation. Of course it was the 12th inning of the Giants game when we were trying to get out of the city.....stopped to eat at Hi Dive on Embarcadero to kill some time, still 45 min to go .5 mi. to bridge......long one I tell ya .

Have a good weekend and stay cool fellers

I do love our natural air conditioning down here!

The Chart House is one of our favorite restaurants. We go there a lot for our special events like an anniversary, birthdays, Mothers Day, etcs.

I haven't been to the Sardine Factory in over 25 years, but I still remember the Porterhouse steak I had and damn was it freaking good.

Ok, I'm not happy, and neither is my truck.

Wednesday, I got it back down off of the ramps, after replacing the exhaust doughnuts.

Thursday morning, around 7:30 in the morning, I fell asleep while driving home and ran into a parked Honda.

Fortunately, no one was in the car.

At this point, I'm expecting that the insurance company will pay for the Honda, and I'm going to learn how to do minor bodywork.

I suppose it could have been worse. The impact was actually fairly low-speed (something like 15-20 MPH).

Grill inserts are cracked, grill in pushed in a little, dent on the left front corner of the hood, left end of the bumper is bent in, left front fender is bent in - nothing got bent in so far that it touches the tire - and the left turn signal lens is in pieces.

I'm surprised that I didnt lose a headlight.

First time in 45 years of driving that I've ever hit anything.

Glad you're okay. A good friend of mine fell asleep at the wheel of his 95 dodge 2500 cummins, less than a quarter mile from home. Hit a dirt pile on the right side of the road, launched the truck over the road, and stuffed it into a solid rock wall on the other side of the road. Airbag miraculously did not deploy, but the front axle was under the doors, front driveline snapped, every last steering component was mangled, oil pan smashed, bumper ripped off. Bad deal.
