I just got my truck back after a month+ of renting stuff. Tuner corrupt my transmission computer. SCT waited three weeks of not coming up with a solution to tell me to have Ford flash it back to factory so I could drive it. Ford said no go and that it needed a new computer. So about $4000 down the drain. 5 star tuning is who I got the tunes from. They have been good to deal with, but SCT has been completely unresponsive. This is pretty much the exact same thing that happened to my 2010. Completely unacceptable. I was never given any solution for that truck’s problem and it seems the same will be the case for this truck.

Wow, now that’s what I call an expensive lesson learned and for the very small improvement in performance, totally not worth it.
Yes I did. I didn’t get their tunes for any “performance” improvement. I got them to try to clean up some shifting that three different Ford dealerships said was normal or that they could not replicate my shifting concerns. I had the tunes three months before this issue arose.
Well, 5-star tuning, nor sct apparently want to take any responsibility for destroying my trucks transmission computer. Contemplating legal action as I lost a lot of money waiting on a solution from them to get absolutely zero answers. In fact, they just completely wrote me off and no longer respond to me.
They do have a warranty, unfortunately they sold me a used unit. I had no issues for about 3 months, then tried going back to a lower tune for the winter and it wiped my transmission computer. Their “top guys” were on it and it was at the highest priority level. I heard that for 2 months. Then complete silence. Won’t respond at all anymore. Pretty disgusted.
Josiah, Nice install have you noticed much change on the ride quality? Oh yes enjoy that helper while you can, believe me when I say the grow up so fast. My baby Girl, who is also my youngest will be 38 this year and her daughter is getting married. My oldest, a son, will be 49 this year. God I am starting to feel old.

Picked up my ‘37 John Deere model B in PA last weekend, and my new PJ trailers B5 buggy hauler to pull it with. Not a bad setup. Truck pulled it through the hills of PA/NY/CT on 80/81/84 no problem. I knew it was back there, but the airbags helped. My WD hitch didn’t show up in time so just pulled it with a standard hitch. Didn’t buck around much at all and never got squirrelly. The little 2.7 is an impressive engine and the 10 speed worked better for me towing than it does in regular driving.
Nice. The 2.7 is way under rated. That PJ trailer is nice, I like the drive over fenders. And the tractor, what are your plans? Metal tractor seats are probably the most comfortable ones made.
The trailer is definitely nice. It’s not quite everything I was looking for, but I wasn’t going to be able to order one and have it in time. I picked it up from Fayette trailer in McAlisterville, PA. It’s on the way to my grandparents place in Bedford County. The tractor was a lifelong dream of mine to have. My Pappy was born in ‘37 and told me years ago that a ‘37 B was a tractor he’d always wanted to have, but didn’t think he would be able to. He had up to 7 antique JD’s at one point. He passed away a couple of months ago. I had put off getting one too long. Always assumed he’d be around to help me with the tractor. My ultimate goal is actually to have one of each model produced in ‘37. The B was priority though. The family is doing a celebration of life gathering in July and I wanted to have this tractor before that. There will be a tractor parade there and this tractor will be a surprise for the whole family. Not sure yet if I am going to fully restore it or just clean it up good. It’s in great shape and runs great as well. I plan to have some kind of plaque made that says “Pappy’s Tractor,” not sure where I’ll put it though.
