I noticed you live in Connecticut. What is the snow load capacity of the Truxedo pro X-15?
That is a really great question. I don't know the answer to that, but I had their low pro version on my '10 and never had an issue with some pretty good storms. They have the support bars in the middle that I'm sure help distribute the load.
I recieved the rear shocks yesterday from stage3 for my Eibach pro truck lift, so my daughter and I went ahead and put them in. I could not have done the job without her. She put the bolt in for me while I held the shock compressed. Still waiting on the rest of the kit. I have autosprings rear 3" blocks to go in, but not knowing how soon the fronts will be here, I didn't put them in yet.
Oh, don't feel dumb at all, I think Eibach could do a much better job with their instructions. Just to confirm, here's a photo from the Eibach SEMA booth:
I looked for something that will tell me which side was up, but didn't see anything, so I matched the factory shock. I see the drain holes now, and it seems pretty obvious. Thanks for the heads up!
Alright, finally got the front kit a little over a week ago now. Decided to tackle the install after work this evening. All in all it took me about 5 hours to do the fronts and install the rear blocks. Had some hangups with the harbor freight coil spring compressors, but I managed to make it work. Hopefully all went well and I won't have any unforeseen issues. No pictures of the finished product as it was dark out when I finished around 9.
The lip on the spring compressor was too deep and wouldn't allow the teeth to come out of the eibach coil spring. I had to loosen the top nut just enough to get them out. Stupid.
Rides nice, no clunks. Noticeably higher, with a little better body roll control and less nose dive. I'll get pictures and measurements this afternoon.
I had hoped for line-x, but I only have experience with it. We'll see how well the rhino lining holds up. Seems a little softer, yet more abrasive than the line-x I had in my '10. Granted I got that used, so maybe this will wear in nicely. Definitely looks better than the white bed, Haha.

Looks good.
I wonder if this shock and spring kit is any different than the Bilstein kit because I think they`re the same just different color schemes and different boxes plus depending on where it`s purchased from, the Eibach kit is priced better.
Based on a lot of the reviews I've heard from people with the Bilstein kit, this kit rides the same as they are saying their Bilstein kits ride. I'd be curious to know if they are the same.
