Happy July !!
A day off in the middle of the week for us that still work. Going out in a few and install the new headliner and then change out the doors. Hope to knock out the pinion seal before it gets super hot.
The door would not work since the truck it came off has the back doors. oh well. I did get the new headliner in and it looks fantastic! I replaced the pinion seal but the u joints are toast so i did not get to finish it. I guess I will pick some new ones up on the way home tomorrow. The glass guy will be here tomorrow the replace the cracked front glass and the broken rear glass. This truck is turning into a bunch of work but the wife and son like it so I guess I will keep fixing it up.
Lowered the daily in the front, moving to the rear here shortly, maybe tomorrow.
Rebuild the entire front end, and went through a ton of maintenance on it.
I have to get the last of my equipement at my shop in the next week or so, and my Ford will be coming home in pieces to be moving forward. My girl mentioned she wants it in the wedding, so I better get moving on it. My response was "be ready for a lot of days I have a long work schedule"

Wedding? We never knew you got engaged. Congratulations!!
Did not make top tech for last month. I got beat out by 2% but I still will get a pretty good bonus and that's all I care about.
The previous owners of the Dodge were real dummies, They broke off some of the mounting tabs for the interior panels so they just put screws thru them. Some went thru the body and were sticking outside. So then they just cut the end off. So needless to say I have a few holes on the cab I need to fix. A new 02 sensor is coming from rock auto so I can clear out the check engine light. A new dash mat is coming to cover the top of the dash since is cracked like all dodges that year do. I have a new map light console coming in today. I need to get a gauge surround and that will finish off the interior for now. Oh and I need to replace the door I bent.
Jacob congrats good year for you so far new better job, homeowner, engaged
Chief maybe the young guys are starting to realize how to work effectively.
Are you doing anything to Pops truck?
I put a 12 gauge shotgun on lawawy yesterday. Mosseburg Marvick 88 with pistol grip $164. The one I first looked at was just too much for a tractor gun had a good price it was a Mossburg 500 12g with the large site, flashlite, adjustable stock with pistol grip $259.00. They also had a "Judge" pistol that was just a bit out of what I could spend.
Decided the cheapest way to get the Ford back on the road is to go manual. Still need to get up to Griffin and scout Johnsons. Pullapart in Lithonia has a 89 4x4 diesel. If I go that way I have to get the transfer case also. The other option is to go T 18/19 they were in everything all the way back to the 70. Find a diesel bellhousing will be the challange
Nothing with pops truck yet. I run it every few weeks to keep everything lubed up but I need to figure out the fuel supply issue.
With everyone trying to take me down we have 5 people over 100% efficiency rate, The boss is ecstatic that overall performance is coming up shop wide. The sad part is I don't really try for top tech. If it happens great , if not no great loss since I just like the bonus money.
5 people over 100% has to to bring shop efficiency way up which looks good for Corp. maybe they will give out extra gravy for it.
Ha I would not hold by breath on that one.
I ordered a new set of rear speakers for the Dodge at lunch, there are not any in the back. They cut the interior panels to install a set of 6x9's but they are not in there either. The cheap and easy fix list is getting smaller and smaller.
Dang GA is mighty hot. I am starting to miss snow. Its been too hot to fry outside working on the truck. Latest thing with Pepe is I am trying a vacuum secondary carb on in since I could never get the double pumper to run right. I will report back if it getsany better and leave out a few choice words when it doesn't. I just got back from a mini vaca in Birmingham Alabama and wow do they have a museum for us gear heads. Its a motorcycle museum but I love anything with a motor. Also, Hugh what kind of trans was in the truck? I can help you pull one this time Hopefully you guys will have a good 4th tomorrow.
