Intake boot

Intake boot
I got my KC turbo Friday and it came with a new boot since it has a 4” intake. I understand installing the turbo, for the 3rd time in a year but I’m kinda stumped on the boot. I know it might be a challenge without a pic right now but there is a tube coming off of the boot. It’s not very big around and has less than a 1/4” inside diameter. What is it and where does it go? I’m wanting to install the turbo tomorrow so print help would be greatly appreciated.

I had a 63mm 38r on for almost a year when a bearing messed up I think, sent it in for warranty and got an upgraded one back. I liked it before, the only thing I didn’t car for was my tunes I ran. When I get the hydra I’m hoping it performs how I want. The heaviest I’ve towed it’s it is only 7k maybe so I won’t have much input there unless I find something big to hook to

Very early update on the 63mm 38R. Compared to stock it is obviously a lot better. Compared to the 38R that it replaced it is still better. The only difference I am aware of is the 4” intake on the new one vs 3” on the previous. It spools sooner/ easier it seems and my EGTs don’t climb as fast. I wasn’t told i had a slight exhaust leak on the previous but don’t know if it was drive exhaust or the down pipe. I haven’t tried it in my usual daily driving manners but i believe it will work great. I don’t know what the boost will get to, I don’t have a fooler installed and my gauge isn’t hooked up at the moment so I couldn’t tell if i wanted to. As soon as i get my hydra and my gauge hooked back up i will report back as well as next time I’m hooked to a trailer of any decent size. I can hear it whine more when its spooled up and it sounds good when it spools up from idle.
