Our commercial fuel supplier has stated numerous times that "fracking" for oil does tend to draw more moisture out of the ground than normal drilling methods.
That may well be true. However, after refining the only moisture in the fuel would be after the fact contamination. If you understand how fuel is refined you would realize how ignorant this fuel supplier is.

I have been using OptiLube cetane booster for at least 6 years now. Great product and have never ever found water in the filter drain. Used OptiLube on my 2014, my 2016, and now my 2019. I think it is really the best product out there. I buy 2 or 3 gallons at a time from their website. Always delivered by Fed-Ex.

By the way, ALL diesel fuel you buy today no matter who you buy it from contains at least 5% Bio. Federal mandates to get rid of sulfur which was the lubricity for the pumps and injectors resulted in adding Bio-diesel as the cheapest best lubricator. There is nothing wrong with bio-diesel diesel fuel.

Which Opti-Lube product(s) have you been using? Ever done the Single Clean one?

This is a common misconception that has gone on from one thread to another for years when in fact it is not really true. The SULFUR REMOVAL PROCESS is the real problem.

You may think it is a misconception but the truth is the sulfur had to be removed per EPA to stop acid rain. The sulfur was actually the lubricity agent. If it wasn't then they would have just re-introduced the lubricity that was removed with the sulfur.

Wait .......

It doesn't come straight from the ground?

Going on a 150K (2017) and have never used anything except some anti-gel during the polar vortex this year.

On my 6th personal 6.7 (2018) and have never used any except power service during extreme cold. I believe the rest is primarily snake oil or is not needed.
