No room for one between the roof of my truck and bottom of the camper. I have probably 2 inches of clearance. I have a Northern Lite on a Ford Super Duty.
I used one for several years. I liked it and it seemed to help, I never used the cowl to overhang of camper shocks. The only downside based on owners instructions was leave room for air expansion for heat and changes in altitude.

Truck Boot used to make one for the roof and one to seal truck to camper pass through. I checked there product listings and I only see the pass through currently listed.
I wonder if newer trucks have enough support built into the roof to support the use of an air cushion, or would they oil can? A chunk of high density foam may be an option or a good quality air mattress might do the trick.
