Help for a P207f code

I have a 2012 6.7 F250 150K I am a little new to diesels. I ran through the PIDs. I am getting 2 NOX readings. The first one is about 50ish most of the time, on start up it varies, I have seen it over 200 and down to mid double digits. The second reading is 0 all the time. OK are there 2 NOX sensors??? (if so where are they?? It looks like one should be near the tail pipe.) I am having a rough time finding part numbers for them. If there are 2 are they interchangeable?? Is there a way to tell if it is the sensor or the module? I have always been using clean DEF. Would it be a DEF problem?

Are the NOX sensors the same as a 2011 6.7?? (from what I have found the 2011 has one NOX sensor) I found a guy scrapping a 2011.

I hate to hack a stock vehicle, but starting to lean towards a egr and dpf delete. I am also getting an egr restricted flow also.

Since I didn't get any replies, I thought I would toss out some info...

Now that it is running good I should go over the NOX sensor data stream and see if they changed. It is running ok now...

BTW replaced the EGR cooler... FYI the Dorman one has much bigger tubes so it should last a lot longer. The one on the truck was all plugged up. The bolts on the exhaust manifold to the egr tube are trouble. They are stainless and want to fuse into the exhaust manifold. One tended to gall in place but got it out. The other one snapped. Argh a mess. 6mm x 1.0 Almost impossible to heat, I don't even think that would work. The bolts are right in between a fuel tube and a coolant tube.

And another FYI. From what I can tell, if your check engine light is on, it won't regen the DPF filter. (maybe depending on which code????)

Brian - I just came across your thread here. Not sure on the Nox sensor details, unfortunately.

Welcome to 6.7L ownership.

I am on my 4th EGR cooler core in my 2011 with a bit over 155,000 miles. I was getting P0401 for a few months before I replaced the core. The first two replacements were under warranty. I had the extended warranty out to 125,000 miles. Since the warranty was up I dug in to what it would take to do it myself. I replaced the core with the Doorman kit as well. I did a write up on the process in the thread below:
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ers-guide.html

In researching the job beforehand it was common to hear of manifold bolts breaking off or otherwise being difficult to get out. I ran in to one that was a real PITA - even after the penetrating oil soak for several days prior to the job. I did not break any bolts, though.

I am curious how long the Doorman core will last.

As far as the no-regen-with-CEL - not real sure on that one. I run a Scan Gauge in my truck. With the P0401 code coming up for the EGR exhaust flow restriction popping I was clearing it. The truck regened normally as best I could tell, but I did not leave the CEL on long enough to see if a regen would happen with it there or not.

For what it is worth, my truck is stock also - aside from the EGR cooler core and shock absorbers so far. I am starting in to a front end rebuild job here shortly and am using aftermarket parts for that also, but the emissions equipment is all in tact and I presume it will stay that way.

Maybe you lucked out with the bolts since they had been apart several times... I am thinking that would help.

I was getting a couple egr codes. I could clear them and shut the cel off. But one would stay (called permanent) But the light was still off. After a short time the light came back on. I kept driving it, didn't have time and was waiting on replies. After a while with the light on I got the 50MPH notice and then the idle only notice. After clearing the codes with the scanner, and letting it sit a few minutes, (no cel) it popped up drive to regen.
