Steering Coupler/Rag Joint

I had a call from a friend waaaay down in the south part of the province earlier today, he discovered that his Rag Joint was literally hanging by threads, and wanted to know about compatibility, etc.
Early this afternoon, when I got back to my across town & back roadtrip, I went to the shed to see if the rag joint was still on the column we saved out of a '66 Custom Cab we eviscerated a year or more back, of course, it wasn't there
So I texted John to let him know.......and a short while ago, I got a text back.......

"Just finished. Got universal Borgeson Rag Joint, and it worked fine. Ground the heads off two bolts & pounded them out of the spline end of the joint & bolted the new Borgeson Rag in. The Borgeson Part No. is 000941. Called Replacement Rubber Rag Joint Kit. Fit like it belonged."

So, there you go, an economical solution that should be made from quality materials, unlike some of the off-shore repops

Borgeson Rubber Rag Joint Disc

Replacement rubber rag joint disc with hardware. Fits many Chevy , Dodge, Ford and Jeep applications requiring a 3.25" diameter rag joint disc.

Well, first off, the info would be more helpful to future readers of this thread if the sources were listed.....but in the end, it's moot, as the truck is Johns DAILY DRIVER, so he didn't have the luxury of ordering a part from somewhere in the US and waiting for it to show up,
But even in a city in southern Alberta, he was able to source the Borgeson piece locally and be back on the road the same day the issue was discovered........

I've listed both part numbers and their sources multiple times in the past, so I'm not going to list the sources again unless asked, because it's a lot of work.

I just typed C5TZ-3A525-A into the search box, 25 threads came up.
