2005 ebp sensor

what is the ebp sensor number 2005 year ? DPFE 3 or DPFE 6 ?

There is no DPFE on a 6.0L

There is an early 05 that uses 4C3Z-9J460-A
A later 05 uses 5C3Z-9J460-B

2005 is a model year that has early and late build variations. That said, if you have an early build 2005 with the EBP sensor mounted on a bracket on top of the thermostat housing, the correct EBP sensor is part number DPFE-3. If yours is a late build 2005 (no MAF) with the EBP sensor secured to the front FICM bracket, the correct part number is DPFE-6.

I agree Mark. There is no DPFE on any diesel engine from Ford. However, Ford in their infinite wisdom have now superceded much of their line of OEM parts that we were once used to ordering by the Ford part numbers (the numbers I prefer personally), to Motorcraft numbers now, namely DPFE-3 (4C3Z-9J460-A) and DPFE-6 (5C3Z-9J460-B) respectively.
