Question dowidat wrenches

i have a set of dowidat wrenches that have made in germany stamped on them.i dont know anything about them.can anyone tell me something about them ?how good are they, and what are they worth ?

There are a few samples for sale on ebay wtih pricing all over the board. It is an old name in tools. Quality? probably made in China now.

Bob,
I could be interested in the wrenches. I have an older Mercedes with several missing wrenches. The Dowitat wrenches for my mercedes will say Mercedes Benz at least on the open end wrenches. Can you PM me with pix?

Dowidat is the former name of the founders of what is now Gedore (Gebrueder Dowidat, Remscheid).

Gedore, Hazet and Stahlwille are the major three quality tool brands made in Germany. So, yeah, they are the good stuff.

i have 80 dowidat wrenches they are mixed double open end--double box-open end & box combo-speed wrench-some sockets-and some other suff.i also have 8 mercedes wrenches-2 hazet wrenches-1 fiat wrench-5 pcs Hm wrenches 2 BMW wrenches-1 stubat wrench from austria------------------6 heyco wrenches-1 snap on pushrod adjuster-there is more stuff that i have to go through yet .

Which wrenches are you looking for? I have a full set with the pouch out of an 82 300 SD that I'm gonna keep, but I think I have some extra loose ones out of other cars I've had.
