found this hanging from under the dash today. Any idea what this is?

SKY Link GPS tracker

I just found the same in our 2017 Escape when tracking down the cause of a dead battery after 3 days of none use. The unit plugs into the back of your ODB port with a Y connector to this GPS tracking device. The Escape was purchased used so the last owner must have had it installed. No longer installed !!!

Aftermarket GPS tracking device similar to lojack, likely dealer installed when the original owner bought the car. Aftermarket junk.

my prior truck which I bought used had a tracker....when I asked the used car dealer about it..they replied to check my paperwork...I reviewed the 1 inch or so of paperwork and there was a section in which I agreed to have the tracker installed.

My company made me install the same thing on my company car. Could’ve been sold to a dealership by a business and they just forgot to remove it before the dealer took it.
