2014 Tuner, Exhaust and Delete Kit
I have a 2014 F250 w/ 6.7L, I am wanting to Tune, Pipe and Delete the truck. I am new to the Ford Diesel world so forgive me, I came from Dodge/Cummins. If you were to look into doing these mods to your truck, what items would you choose and why? Don't be afraid to reply with hyperlinks.
I have looked the internet over a bit and have found the H&S Mini Max, 4" downpipe exhaust and EGR delete kit all for $1135. The mini max was advertised with only 4 preset tunes, up to 150hp. Let me be clear, I am not in anyway looking to race my tow pig, have big inch small block lightweight car for that. I just want to increase fuel economy and help it live longer. Any advise will be appreciated, TIA.

Deleting your truck will not accomplish anything you want. Adding a 150 HP tune will only make the truck use more fuel. i have spun the tires on my truck hooked up to my 5th wheel. these trucks have incredible power. Just 800 ft lb's of torque is just unbelievable.
Depending where you live you may need to have the truck inspected or checked for smog equipment. Taking the def system out of the truck will not improve fuel millage. The stuff isn't that expensive ether. I know lots of people love to delete there trucks but the gains don't outweigh the headaches they may cause. The 16 6.7 is a incredible truck. Maybe one of the best trucks Ford has on the market.

They sound like crap without a muffler and drivetrain torque capacity is matched to the factory power calibration.
increasing power will shorten driveline and transmission component life as well as increase piston temperatures and rod, crankshaft, and bearing loads.
It’s your truck, though. Just remember, engineers aren’t stupid.

I have a 2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty 6.4l turbo diesel with 198,000 miles on it. It has the EGR delete done and the guy I purchased it from said it was mildly chipped. He thought the world of doing so and thought that it would increase the value of the vehicle. I did my first towing excursion with it on Monday. I towed a 20 foot enclosed trailer to California from Utah. About 300 plus miles one way. Going down with a empty trailer there was plenty of power and the exhaust would pour black exhaust when on the gas heavy. It pulls like you would not believe. The unburnt gases that come out of the pipe is ridiculous. The whole side of my trailer is nasty with soot. There may be other issues with the truck. In California I picked up my freight about 5,000lbs. This exacerbated the issue of soot. I am praying for forgiveness from those persons who were affected by my ignorance of what to do. I love the power but I do not like the mod at this point. I think if we throw soot on everybody, without regard for our responsibility to respect the fact that we share roads, we will soon be targeted by the clean air folks. My 2 cents and trying to find a much improved balance that may reveal the other 98 cents to make a 100.
