Timing set
I bought an edelbrock timing set for the 460. It's got 3 keyways 4 degrees advance, 0 degrees and 4 degrees retarded. What it doesnt have is the dot on the dot on the crank gear. Any guidance on how to set this up properly?The instructions show the crank gear with a dot on the tooth like the cam gear has.

Key on crank at 12 o’clock. You really need to degree it in to determine where to set it. If not use the 0 slot. I had to use the 4 degree advanced slot on the last 351 I built just to get to zero. It was retarded right at 4 degrees when the 0 slot was used.
