Alternator Wiring
I decided to replace the stock alternator for my 83 F150 300 6-cyl. I took the wires off of it one at a time and replaced them on the new one. Now, it won't charge the battery. I have been through about 3 new ones, OEM style, and it seems none of them work. I had a friend come over and try to re-wire it and now, I don't know where the wires go on it. There are 3 wires and I can't figure out where any of them go to. I need help fast. Thank you.......

Alternator Wiring
The stock wiring to the alternator should be:
Orange/Light Blue stripe to the "F" for field terminal
Black/Red Stripe to "BAT" for battery
White/Black stripe to "STA" for stator.
Orange/Light Blue stripe to the "F" for field terminal

Hey man, thank you a lot for that info. Trucks back up and running now. Even put new plugs in it too. Got a new question now. The truck still wants to jump and carry on. I have 35's on it now, but I think it may be the carb. acting up. It ain't never been right. Bye
