aod 2-3 accumulator

I have an aod and its got to be a 89 or newer because it does not have the 1-2 shift accumulator but I was wondering what would happen if I left the spring out of the 2-3 accumulator...people say it really firms up the shifts? true or? thank you

if you do its going to shift harder. that's one of the older ways of making shifts harder. sometime the shift kits do a better job compared to removing the spring completely. try it you will know real quick if its too hard or not.

you think it would be too hard. ? I believe my Aod is a 89 so it does not have the 1-2 accumulator

cant say for sure. don't think it would break the case or do any damage. if its still on stock mainline pressure it's only going to be so hard.

I can ALMOST promise you will find it too harsh. I would fine some big washers to put under the spring to shorten the distance it can compress vs taking it totally out.
