I recently out new rear springs on the rear of my super duty and it is now to high for me to come even close to level towing my 5th wheel. Ive got the 5th wheel handled but it got me curious. What are some of yalls measurements from the center of hub to wheel well lip, front and rear if possible. Mine is a 2000 f350 crew cab long bed with an off road package if the bedside sticker is correct. When I was reading around about lifting my camper I found the bed rail height of my truck at the tailgate is supposedly the same as the new super duties. Any help to settle my curiousity folks?
I will do that tomorrow during daylight. It’s a 4x4 if that makes a difference to anyone and stock suspension, mostly. X codes up front and slightly heavier rear springs on stock 4” blocks. Springs were all bought from ATS.
I figured it would be a little higher but it raised the rear at minimum 3” from the worn out factory springs, 4” on the high side. When I hitched to my 5th wheel to move it it squatted it only about a half inch, somewhere in the realm of 800 lbs pin weight with 200-300 already in the bed, this includes my hitch. I might swing by the ford dealer just to see for myself what a new super duty measures at. I’m mainly just curious what others have, my truck seems to sit higher than all others I’ve seen regardless of brand, some even lifted already.
Thank you GOT-DRT, mine is 29 I believe, maybe a little more but not 30.
I double checked mine, I’m at 29.25”. It doesn’t seem most people are willing to even give a measurement but using the one i got, GOT-DRT, it seems like I’m at normal height. Any clue why ford in the their brilliance decided to make the trucks so tall?
