I have a 2006 F150 XLT with 121,000 miles...over the course of the last 2 years I've swapped out pretty much all the suspension parts I can for new ones but in the process I added a rough country leveling kit and also upgraded to the better Moog upper control arms (first time went with the cheap ones), new ford lower ball joints and replaced any and every bushing I easily can. While doing so I figured I'd get bigger tires and nicer rims. Got some nice 315/70/17 tires to match some new 17x9 rims) Got proper alignment done about 6 months ago and the other day while replacing an O2 sensor I saw that my upper passenger side ball joint has went AGAIN. This was changed about 6 months ago when it blew out the first time after lasting around 8 months so I went with a the beefier Moog upper control arm. Not only did this last shorter in time but also mileage, probably have about 6k miles since the last change. The other side seems to be on it's way out as well. The lower seems to be holding up ok but my friendly mechanics have said the lift probably isn't helping but there could be better options out there for the upper control arms? Is there something better that will last longer? Or should I just get rid of the leveling kit or get small tires? This is my daily for another year at least but even so even if it wasn't I rather not have to change the upper arms every year!
I am dealing with the same issue. I got 30000 miles out of the moog parts. This time going with Motorcraft but from what I am told it becasue the leveling kit.
I guess a proper lift may fix the issue.
I'm curious as to what size leveling kit you guys are running. I've read that over a certain height, leveling kits can cause problems. I'm considering Rancho leveling struts on mine, which should give me about 2" of lift without any issues.

I've got 2.5" Hellbent Steel leveling kit on mine, been on there for 30000 miles with no issues on the stock original arms and joints on my '07 XLT. I also installed Bilsteins at the same time.
When I did my research into it the opinion I got was 2.5 seemed to be the most you could go without suspension issues.
