I swapped a 351w into my 302 f150 and now my wipers don’t work and I cannot get them to work also my cluster fuse will blow everytime I start the truck unless I start it then put the fuse in. When I did the swap I did change the wiring harness and computer out of the 351w truck into my truck. I cannot figure this one out so any help is appreciated!
I’m not the one to help out here other than to ask 351 out of what vehicle and year and what year is your truck? There are differences in the pinout for different year harnesses. In the several engine swap threads on here, the guys “in the know” tell them to not change the engine harness from the original one that was in the truck. Others will chime in and confirm or correct me.
That 1996 F150 is MAF, but it also OBD-II. You really need a wiring manual (EVTM) for your 1993 (OBD-I) and the 1996 donor.
I took a quick look at my manuals for the wiper circuit differences between a 1993 and a 1996 F150. Power comes from Fuse 2 for both. Connections to the wiper motor go through the same pins on C202. But there are two connectors from C202 to the wiper motor on the 1993 (C151 and C152). There is only a single connector from C202 to the wiper motor on a 1996 (C151).
If using the 96 engine compartment harness, you probably need to use the single connector wiper motor and not the original 2 connector motor found on 94 and earlier models.
