2019 F250 what’s new?

Seems like Ford had IFS back in the 80’s and 90’s for a while, then went back to a solid axle. Their “TWIN TRACTION BEAM” or what ever they called it was kind of a POS. And then we can look at all the older GM’s that have the spraddled out front ends!!!! No thanks. If I MUST have IFS of any kind, I will just go with a 2WD truck. Lots fewer problems, and less expensive to maintain.

Eventually when the trucks go electric (every vehicle will at some point), that’s when they will most likely go ifs AND irs. Look up axle tech ifs/irs or the TAK-4 ifs/irs if your concerned with the strength. But going electric is still a good way off so in the meantime I think they need to stick with solid axle but go to 4 corner air suspension like the new ram 1500. That would allow it to ride really nice when unloaded and then pump them up when weight is added. Trucks could have varying height settings and all the rake could be taken completely out as it will auto level.

I don't really think we should be trying to load these trucks up with even more stuff to pay for. When I bought a 3500 dually 8.1L in 2001, it was $26,000. The same truck today is almost $70,000. Eventually nobody is going to be able to afford a truck anymore if we keep dumping tech and expensive features in there.
