Yes, when they upped the power from 925 to 935 they offered it to every 2017 owner. There were a few very slight internal engine changes for the '18MY but none that affected power levels. The increase and curve changes were all software changes.
I read somewhere where they will reflash the '17s for free since it was a reaction to Dodge raising theirs but I'm be darned it I can find where I read it.
there is no way your feeling 10hp towing. Thats all placebo man.
Agreed... if there was a noticeable difference, it would be product variation and not 10 advertising HP. There's also no way people are getting flashed for more power and not reporting it here either. There's a new SYNC update and people are batchit for weeks. LOL
I can tell u there is a grade leaving the valley where we live. Towing a 22k lb trailer, the 450 max's at 54mph, the 18 350 goes 59. All the way up.....with 35" km2's.
I would say that's noticable unless you're asleep.
Again Brandon, it's much more likely to be product variation than the software change. By product variation I mean this. Take any two identically equipped cars/trucks/boats/powersports etc. and one will very often be faster than the other.
Ah shucks, you're sweet. But seriously, 10HP can not give you 5MPH on a grade. So, if you dismiss my product variation theory, you'll have to come up with something else because it's not the software flash.
the flash can make many changes to the system back pressure shift pattern and other mods. to make a slight difference in hp but big difference in performance . Like adding a bully dog programmer and I can tell you the bully dog makes a difference . look at the link deleted my truck for referance
My theory is that the top end on the 450s is derated in some way. It's noticibly flat. My limits rpm on the 4.30 trucks. Not sure. I even put on a pedal commander. No difference in top end. 18 350 runs strong all the way through.
