My cab is a 79 ranger lariat from an F-150. Has factory a/c.
I need everything to get it back running.
I just found a very nice 86 F-250 at the junk yard with everything intact. I am stealing the large rad. Will any of the a/c components work with my 79? The condensor is in really nice shape.
They were both 460 trucks. Thanks.

None of the A/C dash components will work. Some of the mount and drive parts might work, but I wouldn't count on it.
If the system was currently fully operational from the 86 then doing the leg work might be worth it. But if it is just a worn out system that hasn't been run it years, you're better off looking elsewhere. A new (clean) condenser is around $80 if I recall. I don't think you can get the hoses or evaporator new, but everything else can be had new and you could swap to a newer Sanden compressor that will work way better. Another option is to buy a complete under dash unit that has everything for around $400-500 off Ebay. You just need to vacuum and charge it.
