coolant change question

I've searched quite a bit but still can't find any direct info. I just got a 2011 F-350 with the 6.2L and the maintenance history is unknown. It has about 62K on it and I'm going to change the oil & filter, coolant, transfer case, and diff fluids. I am selling my 6.0L diesel Excursion and I went through the change from the Ford Gold coolant in it to CAT ELC-1 as many have done. I know the 6.2L gas motor is a completely different animal, but I was wondering about the coolant (Ford Orange).

I've read about the differences, etc., but what I can't find is if anyone has experience of completely flushing the orange out and replacing it with the regular green stuff. My family and I will be traveling and living full-time in a RV and I got the gasser since I'm tired of diesel maintenance and repair expenses, plus I want the truck to be able to be worked on about anywhere with more common parts. I know mixing coolant types is a no-no, and I've dealt with Dex-Cool sludge in 2 Pontiacs.

The 6.2L is an iron block/aluminum head motor, nothing weird. There have been plenty of iron block/aluminum head motors running the green stuff without issue for decades. Can anyone point out any downsides of changing, other than more frequent coolant change intervals? TIA!

Well the Ford orange is a very common coolant available everywhere. I see green coolant as a giant step backwards and no benefit. The ford orange is the same spec as Dex Cool.

After going down the rabbit hole of coolant types, additives, etc. (thanks, BITOG), I think I know what I plan to use. Not the old green stuff and not Ford Orange since I've had bad experiences with Dex-Cool in the past (yes, i know that newer engines don't have the issues old GMs did, but still...). Looks like Peak Final Charge meets all of Ford's specs, has no 2-EHA (deathcool), silicates, phosphates, nitrates, or borates, can have up to 25% of any other coolant mixed with it if necessary, and is rated for 8 years or 1,000,000 miles. Winner! I definitely plan on flushing it thoroughly with distilled water first. Thanks!

I would use motorcraft orange antifreeze VC-3DIL-B (U.S.) / WSS-M97B44-D2 for peace of mind.
