I've been wanting to bump up to 40's for a while now and just finally got around to it. Picked up a new set of Raceline Avengers in 17x9 w/ -12 offset paired with 40x13.50r17 Toyo MT's. I plan on running these Racelines for the time being and hold on to my Innov8's unless someone comes along and wants them (seems like there may be a bunch of interest). I have a 5th wheel on order so it'll be nice to finally put together a full size matching spare.

These things are HUGE compared to the 39" KM3's that just came off of it. The 39x13.50r17 KM3's had an overall height of 38.5" where as the Toyo MT's in 40x13.50r17 measure out to a true 40" in overall height.

Long story short with the KM3's. I loved the way they looked on the truck, and IMO they are the perfect size for these trucks with 4.5" lifts, but they do not like being clamped down on true beadlock wheels. For over a year now I've dealt with balancing issues, so with little time and patience, I just bought a complete new set of wheels and tires which will allow me to sort out the issues. Once the KM3's were mounted on my old wheels and the beadlock rings are torqued down, they seem to smash the bead and cause the tire slightly deform which ended up making it out of round. They would balance perfectly fine on the balancing machine, but would shake like hell on the truck. I never had a single issue with the beadlocks and my previous set of Toyo MT's, which is why I went the with the MT's again.

Either way, I love the bigger tire and the contrast from the machined finish wheels this time around. I'll snap a few more pictures once I have time to get the truck all cleaned up.

EDIT - OH! And if you're in the Houston area, the only place you should ever go for anything related to wheels/tires is TireLink. It's rare nowadays to find such a well ran shop, full of honest and friendly guys. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my vehicles.

Just got back from a weekend trip out of town, and I've got to say- this truck rides so much nicer with the 40" Toyo MT's vs the previous 39" BFG KM3's. Should have made the switch a long time ago.

Got a little bored yesterday and decided to tint the white reverse light sections of the tail lights with a dark tinted vinyl. Surprisingly, it came out looking awesome! I'm going to also make an attempt on the 3rd brake light; I just ran out of time before it started raining on me.

I also bought a matching 17" Raceline wheel and had one of my old 37x13.50r17 Toyo MT's mounted as a spare. I was able to deflate the tire and convince it up in between the hitch with a ratchet strap. I'll be adding on board air by either an electric air compressor or a PowerTank; just haven't decided what route I want to go with it yet.

For the last few months I've been working on mods for the two owners of the company I work for, who have been close friends of mine for 15+ years. One buddy of mine has had his 2019 F-250 KR for about 3 years now, and we just wrapped up the upgrades on his truck. (I'll post the mods list below, along with photos). We've also ordered a 2022 F-250 Platinum Tremor and we're doing basically everything to it, so I'll create a full "build" post for that truck as it gets started.
