You know, I did actually order two of those towels. It too was taking me 2-3 towels before and was honestly really surprised when I did the whole truck with 1! So again, thanks for that! I did use the Adams Tire and Rubber cleaner on the frame, undercarriage, front diff housing and every other component up front. I used the tire brush to scrub it as well. It was tedious and I was hopeful but, it didnt clean it as good as I thought. I will use a mitt this week to see how that works. The beadmaker will be here Friday and am excited to try it out.
Nice! I'm sure this is common sense, but if your truck is black (I think you told me once, but I can't remember lol) I'd make sure to use a different mitt for the tires and undercarriage type stuff. That Adam's hand shaped one works great for the hard to reach spots.
also Shinesupply has some killer products. he just came out with a ceramic coating product for suspension and wheels. supposedly its pretty legit and makes cleaning those parts way easier.
i've only used his shine soap and wet detailer and the magnetic metallic looks solid. It needs a correction due to those potatoes at the dealership """""detailing""" before i picked it up when i bought the truck. thanks for the swirl marks guys.........

I make a HUGE deal about my truck not being wash at the dealer. Like a big enough deal that they know without a doubt that I would be pissed if they touch it lol. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll check them out. I've actually been looking for a good ceramic coating to go on my wheels, I'm just not sure what would be best since they're anodized aluminum and not painted or powder coated.
That’s a sweet truck. Well done putting in that much work to save me the trouble of figuring it out. I have a black 19 platinum due in town next month and this thread has helped me figure out a lot. Also a carli 4.5, innov8 and Toyo mt’s.
Did you go with the beadlocks? I am understanding those are not legal so gearing towards the simulated. Curious your experience with the wheels.
Again-absolute fabulous “build”!
Very nice! The way you did this was spot on in every way. I have to say it again very nice. Can you answer a question though? How do you like the Carli set up and how much higher do you think it sits over stock? I have only put a ready lift leveling kit with the springs and shocks but after looking at your build makes me want to do much more. I have attached a picture of the truck to see what you think.

Thanks man! Much appreciated! I love the Carli, the ride improvements on both big and small road imperfections was well worth the money in every way. There is a TON of construction and poorly laid temporary pavement around my office, and I'm able to drive down those roads without being shaken to death, while my buddy has to slow wayyyy down in his brand new stock 2019 F250 to go through the same conditions. Regarding the overall lift, I've got some photos of my Lariat w/ the 4.5" lift parked next to my buddies stock KR which will help you see the difference in height between the two. The rear is only lifted about 1/2" with the add-a-packs, but the front is lifted the full 4.5" to bring the truck to a perfect level stance.
Kinda-sorta lol! The guy I work for asked me what I thought was the best bed cover for these trucks (since he's got one too now) and I told him I planned on going with the Retrax Pro MX for the quality compared to some of the Bakflip stlye and other similar brand covers. Two days later, there were two of them sitting in our shop, one for mine and one for his lol! The quality is awesome and I'm fairly confident that this thing will last. It's sturdy enough that I've stood on it while closed and it didn't budge. Ignore the filthy truck.
Brent, if I missed this somewhere I apologize. Next season I'll be needing new tires and I was thinking about 37s because they look awesome and seem to be popular. Did they kill the mileage on your truck? I doubt they'd hurt power being a diesel. Adding 33s on my F150 was the biggest mistake I made with that truck. I get it, different animal, but still wondering. Again, gorgeous truck!

Thanks man! I saw very little MPG drop with the 37's.. but I'll be honest, I haven't paid for fuel since 2013 lol. If I remember correctly, I was getting somewhere around 12.3 MPG before the lift and 37's, and now I'm getting around 11.8 MPG, but I've also never re-calibrated the truck for the larger tires. Whatever you do, I'd suggest with going with a quality tire and stick to a strict rotation schedule to get some longevity out of the set. I rotate at the first 2,500 miles and every 5,000 there after and have had no issues with balancing or road noise with my Toyo MT's.
After 2 years of ownership and 30,000 miles I ran into my first real "issue" with the truck. Had a slow crank around lunch time and that evening the batteries were shot. I decided against having them warrantied and replaced with more junk and decided to go with something a little better that will hopefully last. Only downside to this is I didn't really have a whole lot of time to read up on replacements, so hopefully the replacements I went with were the right choice. Replaced the dead and leaking Motorcraft batteries with two new X2 Power AGM batteries that are 990 CCA vs the 750 that came in the truck.
While I was at it, I cleaned everything up and detailed under the hood. Detailed the interior and did a deep maintenance clean on the wheels/tires, and somehow found the energy to wash the wife's new car too.
Also installed a new Limited Superduty grille I picked up last week. This grille is hands down the best looking out of all the various grilles Ford designed for these trucks.
