PCM Reprogram

Google says this PCM Reprogram is for an excursion. My truck is an F-250. What difference does this make to the truck?

You are worrying over nothing. The Excursion used the 7.3 as did the Super Duty trucks. They use the same software in the computer. When I used Yahoo to search, it showed not only the Excursion but also for the F250/350.

FYI, the Excursion is built in the Kentucky Truck Plant on the same assembly line as the Super Duties.

Right I knew that theyre essentially the same thing. Just didn't know if there was reason that they would have redone it a year after it was built. Maybe the original was faulty.

It is not uncommon to have PCM program updated. You do not see the stickers as prevalent as once were about a reprogram unless it is a total recall by Ford of a vehicle model to correct an issue. I had my 2015 PM updated due to the jack hammering issue and the EGT sensors shutting down the trucks. My 2015 was not having a problem but asked it be updated.
