Trans acting weird

Hey guys I have a 17 CC SB 6.7 that has 30k and is fully deleted. I am running EZlynk with PPEI tuning. I run 0-35hp SOTF but keep it at 0, and I have the trans tuning as well, I also do not beat on my truck, she is my daily driver.

The issue i am having currently is not all the time but the trans sometimes feels like it slams into gear when it goes from 3rd to 2nd at low speed. Also in the morning when it goes from 2nd to 3rd before TC lockup it almost feels like it searches for 3rd.

The slam into gear has happned a few times both with the tune and without. The searching has happened for a little bit now but not everyday and sometimes only once in the morning. Trans temp has been either cold or at temp when both of these have happened.

Most likely it’s the trans/engine tuning screwing up the factory programming regarding line pressure and shift scheduling.

Apologies if totally different (fairly new to diesel), but my F150 EcoBoost was tuned which changed the shift points. I didn't like how it shifted and was able to use the LiveLink software to data log it. Sent the log in and they dialed it in pretty well. Unsure if you have that option but it was a game changer. Shifted great while jacking up the hp and torque with a little more boost. I used to smoke stock 5.0's. Ah the good ol days (just sold it Monday, lol). Good luck!

Right after I posted I contacted PPEI and asked if they had complaints from guys running the trans tune and they said yes. He proceded to tell me they have a new tune out to cure this issue and it has helped big time. I gave him my vin and 2 seconds later i had the new tune on my phone ready to install. I installed last night and drove it this morning 35 miles. The guy at PPEI said the trans will take around 65 miles to relearn so once I am past that mark I will keep everyone posted on how the trans is acting.

I was running TCM V1.1.1

the new updated software is called TCM ONLY Soft-shift V1.01 and it has greatly improved the shifting of the truck.

The number of miles doesn't matter. It's the number of shifts that matter.

I honestly forgot to mention that. He said to get as many up and down shifts i possibly could and its perfect on my ride home i have a lot of twists and turns up to my house on the back roads.
