brakes
Hello , I have a 96 xlt supper duty 15 passenger van having trouble when driving 20 miles or more the brakes grab and start to smoke. I changed the pads on both sides and the front passenger calipers, as they looked pretty bad. Now the drivers side is grabbing and I had no trouble before. Abs light is not on, rear brakes have never been changed. I know nothing about vehicles and I am learning as I go, thank you for your assistance.

when you did the calipers and pads did you change the flex lines as well?? They tend to go bad internally after awhile.. when they do theyll allow fluid flow in one direction which can cause them to drag and eventually smoke... also sometimes the pads are unidirectional.. the ones meant for the piston side will have bumps in different positions than the ones meant for the caliper housing side... when theyre put on backwards itll cause them to drag even when its not an issue with the caliper or lines...
