Clutch Safety Switch Sliding on Rod?

The clutch safety switch on my clutch pedal is pulled away from the fire wall and just going back and forth with the rod when I push the clutch in and out there should be something that holds the safety switch stationary against the fire wall like a little hook that goes around the tab on the circular end of the switch... I cannot find any videos or picture anywhere or a part that would give me a hint as to what holds the switch to the firewall besides maybe the master cylinder may have had a hook on it that may have broke ... Any explanations, pictures or videos would be appreciated ! THANKS

Its a white plastic plate that secures it to the rod...why notvjust unplug itcand jump the 2 wires so that you dont need to start it with clutch depressed? You still keep cruise control also

Which 2 wires ... So I'd just splice the 2 wires together ?
