2012 Escape Steering column box question

2012 Escape Steering column box question
I think the grandson dropped a coin into the steering column plastic box that's around the steering column. I heard something rattling around in there. Also the horn honked 3 times while I was sitting at a stop light. How do I get the cover off? I took out the 3 screws out and it loosened up but would not come off. Your help is appreciated. Thanks
