Tow Mirror Cap Replacement
I'm replacing the standard rough black caps on my tow mirrors with chrome caps. Looks like I will need to pop off the mirror glass from behind, remove about 6 screws from inside, and pop some tabs and the mirror will fall apart. Anybody done this and have pointers?

Well, the chrome caps came in. Rushed home to put them on. Pulled the passenger cap off in 5 minutes. Broke bottom tab because I couldn't find a way in to release it. Went to put the chrome cap on.... nope. The cap is 1/2" longer than the black cap. I'm betting they don't make chrome caps for the basic tow mirrors. The only thing I can figure otherwise is they ordered non-tow mirror caps? Can't figure the tow mirrors would have different bodies. Ugh.
