Starter clockwise or counterclockwise?

Shopping around online for a new starter for '55 F100 w/ the 223 I6. I know it is 6v 9 tooth. Most starters say clockwise, found one said CCW. Factory location on lower passenger side. Just making sure I don't order the wrong part again

A CCW rotation starter would be used in a marine application on a counter rotation (RH) engine. These engines took power from the timing gear end, and the flywheel was the front of the engine.
