Possibly, but some add'l troubleshooting is in order --- can you get "instrumented" to provide us some EOT, ECT, etc information? Or alternatively, can you get "plugged in" to a IDS or comparable tool? Add'l info would be appreciated for the folks here to help:

-- Mileage
-- Recent work, if any
-- Last flush
-- Any mods (EGR, etc)?

I've been using a FLIR Thermal Setup on engines lately --- really helps to isolate problems on almost any vehicle.....................

Also, there is a slight sheen on top of the coolant. You need to determine if that is diesel or oil.

Truck has 170,000 miles
My EGR has been deleted along time ago.

My injectors were replaced and the coolant system was flushed 3,000 miles ago.
The coolant was flushed because there was alot of black blobs floating in it.
deal did a pressure test after the flush, and they said it held pressure

I did change my coolant filter about 120 miles ago, but i didnt add any coolant to the system. so if anything i would have thought it would be low, not over full.

My cruising at 60mph for 30 min my EOT is around 198 and my ECT is around 190

The coolant does smell like diesel to me

I'd start checking the injector sleeves, cups, etc........................hopefully, it's not cracked heads (also common)..................

how would you determine cracked head vs cracked injector cups?

Injector cups alone on the 6.0L will not do this. You almost certainly have a cracked head(s) ..... if that is diesel in your coolant.

For fuel to migrate into the cooling system on a 6.0L from a failed injector cup, BOTH the lower injector o-ring AND cup ON THE SAME CYLINDER would have to have failed simultaneously, the chances of which are slim to none. I don't know of anyone that has experienced or seen this specific scenario.

The other (and much more likely scenario) is for the head(s) themselves to be cracked internally.

See the Ford TSB below for the troubleshooting procedure:
http://www.powerstroke.org/forum/att...iagnostics.pdf

Here is a picture of the crack in a cut-away section of a 6.0 head from BPD:
http://imageshack.com/a/img440/8563/dsc02571z.jpg

To detect where the cracked head is when you have fuel in the coolant (slightly different procedure from TSB above):
You need to put dye in the COOLING system and run engine for a few minutes to allow dye to mix with coolant. Use a good degas cap so system will build pressure. When turning engine off, cooling system pressure will cause coolant to bleed into injector bore on head that is cracked, you will be able to identify (with injectors removed) which head is cracked with black light. Fuel also shows up a light blue with blacklight, but you will be able to differentiate between fuel and dye in coolant.

Could the fuel have gotten in the coolant when they replaced the injectors?

also, are those bubbles in the video normal for a fully warmed up truck?

Turns out cracked head

no idea what could have caused it

getting a new head, doing studs and replacing the oil cooler as long as its apart. hopefully it will be good for a long time now.
