Two Tone Code?
Now I take it the truck has been re-painted. Did they do the door jambs?
Checking the back side of the doors & jambs you might be able to tell.
Any signs of the truck having molding or tape pin stripes? Again the doors & jambs you might be able to see tape.
The other place is the back of cab between the cab & bed. With a light you might be able to see how it was.
Now if you cant tell by any of the above ways you can do it any way you want as it is YOUR truck.
Now do know the stock moldings are getting hard to come by and then how do you put them on? Stock had plastic clips, also hard to come by, that need to be pop-rivet to the body of the truck or holds drilled for the stud of the clip to go thru.
So being hard to get moldings & clips you can use pin stripes.
This can be tape or painted, single or multi stripes it is all up to you on colors and or how many stripes.
BTW I have a flare side that used tape from the factory. You can not get this tape anymore so I will do either multi lines painted or single tape line.
When I paint it is when I will decide what I will do.

If you like that color then do the body work and paint it that color.
If you want a 2nd or even a 3rd color it's yours so do it.
Now what a lot do when changing colors is just the outside that everyone see.
I think to do a color change right the door jambs, under hood and even pull the bed to do back of the cab & bed should be painted.
Yes it is a lot of work but the finished product is so much better.
Even if painting the same color doing them areas makes it look a lot better.
I am painting mine the same 2 tone colors red / white and doing everything. Pictures of inside the cab & door jamb

Even under the hood was done

To tell you the truth I have had the full truck apart to fix and paint everything.

Some people need to see a project like this to get the push they need to start theirs or to keep going.

For spray guns I was trained on Binks #7 syphon type gun (NON HVLP) Besides the Bink I have a cheap knock off, Jet brand I use for primer. They also spray paint pretty good if I need to.
For paint I have DeVilbiss 3 gun kit I got thru Eastwood. http://www.eastwood.com/devilbiss-sp...ps-system.html
They are the Starting line guns HVLP, 2 large guns paint & primer and a small touch up gun. I have converted all of the guns for the large DeKups setup, the small cup just was not enough paint for any job in my book. And yes even the touch up gun has the large cup. I don't like the way the HVLP primer gun sprays and why I use the Binks for primer.
For air tool I have DA sanders, long board sander, 90* air grinders of different sizes, air saws, air ratchets, impac gun, air flanger & punch and I know I left things out.
For air supply the compressor came from a 5 bay truck shop. 220v, 2 stage, think it was 30 CFM@90PSI / 20CFM@170PSI.
I also plumbed my garage with 3/4" tubing all the way around the top with 5 drops / drip legs. 1 drop in each bay (2 bays) at the back, 1 between the bays up front, and 1 on either side of garage.

1 of the drops at the back of bay.

1 of the side drops above the work bench.

The fin thing next to the compressor is a air drier. It is made from fin tube base board. It cools the air out of the compressor and in doing so the water condenses.
It has drip legs to drain the water and if water makes it pass then the hose connections has a drip leg.
I still need to pick up a water filter I will plug in at the drop I will use when I paint to do a final filter but so far none has made it to the drops.
Any questions just ask.

On a separate note, I found that the inside lip of the door has silver paint on it. So that means it originally had either the Deluxe Two-Tone, or the Combination Two-Tone. Its cool to see the original color!

I had a skinny 1 car garage. I built my drag car and started restoring my street car pictured. What you don't see is my car trailer would be parked in the drive in front of the garage door with my drag can on it and the trailer came to the side walk edge.

So when I got "MY" garage I was in heaven. 2 9' wide doors, fit 3 cars/trucks inside and still have room to work on 1 and there is a work bench down 1 wall.
To the right is a work shop / storage. I have shelves with parts for the projects, frig/freezer for cold ones, micro ware to reheat tea/coffee and a large work table in the center.

Next to the frig is the door to the bays, back is at the outside door.

And to top it all off I have a 2 car house garage, no work gets done in it. That car is parked in there now, less trailer, wile I work on the truck.

Unless the glass / rubber was pulled for the repaint?

Makes it easier to repaint the two tone.
Mine was and will be white in the center. I will paint the white first, tape it off and paint the red.
