when installing the seat, does the seat mount straight to the cab floor or is piece of anti squeak or rubber gasket recommended between the supports and floor?
I would say straight to the floor. If the bolts are tight, it won’t squeak. The floor is pretty rigid. You don’t want anything under the seat frame that can compress over time and allow the bolts to loosen up.
I think it was Abe who posted that he found a cardboard like gasket under his seat legs. Mine have a piece of rubber carpet runner under the whole seat, that the legs bolt down thru. No problems with the bolts coming loose.

Correct. There was the same cardboard type material between the floor and runners and between the runners and the seat brackets. And I'm sure my seat was never taken out before.
But I have a 55. It maybe different for a 48 to 52 model.
My '52 has caged nuts under the floor for mounting angled braces at the front leg attachments on both right and left sides. Mine only had the brace on the driver side. I thought about adding a brace on the passenger side, but couldn't see any sign on the floor, or on the RH front leg that one had ever been installed on that side. I ended up not adding one on the passenger side - should that side have one, too - or is that only for use on RH drive trucks? - Bob
