A/c problems

So I had my air charged a few months back work great for about 3 weeks. Now since it's getting hotter I need to figure out the problem. So here what is going in basically it's not blowing very hard. Don't have any vaccume leaks cause it isn't coming out through default it's still coming out the vents, I tried a new blower resister but that didn't work. But here is a funny deal going on. If I crack my driver window it will blow harder out? I looked behind the glove box and behind it in the upper right side there are 2 connectors not connected to anything could that have something to do with it or am I just sol and have to break down and buy a new blower motor?

The resistor is to allow the fan to run at lower speeds by reducing the voltage supplied. So if it was bad you would have max fan speed not lower speeds.

It sounds a bit like your cab vents are plugged. Not sure what cab configuration you have but there is vents on the rear wall behind the seat. Check that they aren't plugged.

For the lines what cab configuration do you have, do you have manual or auto HVAC controls, and what color are the lines?

Do you have the 3 rotary dials for controls or the digital display with he push buttons where you can set the temperature? I assume you have the manual controls if you replaced the resistor (the auto units have a module).

Good point on the resistor. Didn't think about that.

So if you are saying that the cabs vents in the rear wall of the cab are free and not plugged, the air that does come out of the HVAC vents is cold and the only issue you have is the actual flow rate is low with the fan speed on highest setting then it seems to me you either have a blower fan issue or a something in the HVAC duct work causing a blockage.

Have you cleaned out the...whatever the condenser thing is called inside the blower motor box on the engine compartment firewall? Several of my trucks have been clogged up there such that the fan barely blows. You can hear the motor working just fine, but not much comes out. It's easy. The blower motor comes off with three little screws. Just reach in the hole to the right with a toothbrush and brush the fins. Then vacuum out if you got a small vacuum. If it's real dirty, you can take the whole cover off - that's what I need to do to this truck - and really get it clean. Our trucks don't have a filter on the air intake, I guess, because those things clog up regularly.
