Looking for former '11-14 5.0 owners that went to a '15+ 5.0 and had exhaust on both

Not sure if I'll get any responses but I'm trying to figure something out.

Although I'm not sure how, I have suspicions that the '15+ 5.0 trucks are louder than an '11-14 5.0 truck with the same exhaust. I've seen videos on youtube of trucks with similar aftermarket cat backs where the '15+ often seems louder. I also noticed that Flowmaster's Force II system for the '11-14 trucks runs a Super 50 muffler whereas the '15+ Force II system uses their 70 series muffler (which really seems odd...why not just use the same muffler on both?)

Just seems weird...and I'm asking this because I put a catback on my truck with a Jones SI/DO muffler (Magnaflow copy) that ended up being way louder than I expected. I'm now looking at the Flowmaster Super 50 because supposedly it's pretty mellow, but I don't want to spend $150 on it and have it be too loud.

Interesting question. I`m not sure if this is the case because i`m not an engineer but maybe the aftermarket exhaust companies tuned their mufflers and exhaust systems for the new "aluminum" F150. You mentioned the Jones system with a muffler that was copied from a Magnaflow. If you compare the two systems, the extra money that one would pay for the Magnaflow muffler or system goes toward the R&D that went into shaping the sound and toning down the decibel level of their muffler or system whereas the Jones system or muffler, as you mentioned, is just a copy of the Magnaflow muffler which is no different than a Chinese company making a copy of something like a cell phone. Another thing to remember is that all major muffler and exhaust manufacturers have some kind of proprietary stuff built into them because all of them sound completely different and are distinct
