muffler vs. Cat-back system

would i get similar results from just adding a flowmaster muffler rather then an entire cat-back exhaust??

If you look, the stock exhaust is 3" and rather free flowing. Many have just replaced the muffler. Add a shiny tip on the end and know one will know the difference.
