All 1969/74 E300's had the Dana 60, with or without Limited Slip. The only available V8 was the 302 2V

New Econoline introduced February 1968, but Ford called 'em 1969's from the get-go.

When I worked at Ralph Williams Ford, actor Clayton Moore (The Lone Ranger) bought a new '69 E300 302 Cut Away, then he had a class C motor home body installed.

He complained that it didn't have enough guts to pull a sick trollop off a porcelain device!

Not all had the big studs and nuts for the wheels though.

Imagine one with 3.25 gears living by the mountains, add in Ford using the wrong radiator, no fan shroud, and 4 blade fan, engine often reaches temps to warm the devils bed, the implementation of emissions, seriously detuned at the cost of power, I have unhooked the retard line on the distributor and the EGR, wish I could swap in an RV cam to wake it up, it is pretty sad.

What's the hold up on the cam ? And wrong radiator ? Even my old 69 never suffered from that. I drove it 30 miles once after the fan belt broke to get to Pagosa Springs Co. to get a new belt so no water pump and no fan then and it didn't overheat. What year is yours again ? ( I don't recall)

It's a 73, when the electric fan burned up on a trip over the mountain, it overheated, buried the gauge, brand new 'replacement' radiator which happens to be the small one shared with the I6 trucks, the larger HD radiator that had the dip to miss the brake booster hasn't been made in years, the tank on the radiator is swollen, as if the new stant cap did not release at 13 pounds, new thermostat too, it's fine in town BTW.
