Unit will not start. Battery is new. If you jump the solenoid at the starter it will start and run. I took and tested the wire going to the starter when you turn the key to start and there is nothing. I have no manual. It is a 1999 F-100.
What would you believe the start circuit to be?
How about in Park, the start circuit goes through the shift switch on the side of the transmission and back to the fire wall solenoid..
In Neutral it goes the same way.
In any gear position the circuit is normally open.
Might be an open circuit in this chain.
Or may even be the ignition switch.
You've proven the starter works and the engine is able to run.
Good luck.
