1995 F150 Issues
Long story, short as possible...
1995 F-150 XLT 4x4 5.8 automatic 62k original miles
So about 3-4 years ago I was hauling a heavy load in bed but giving truck hell at the same time... all went fine until the next day when it blew white smoke/steam.
I did no checks and assumed head gasket although I never saw a temperature problem.
Started into it the following weekend and life happened and it has sat there since then.
So, I currently have upper inake off, lower intake bolts loose, distributor out, front accessories (alternator, etc.) off and it's been like that for 3-4 years.
I covered intake and distributor holes with rags at the time but am wondering if/what I should check since it's been sitting so long before I now get back into it this weekend.
Thanks for your help.
Did you ever see chocolate milk in the crankcase?
If you did, then...
My biggest worry would be a rusted cylinder, so I'd bite the bullet & yank the heads if it were mine.
Did you set it to TDC on #1 before pulling the distributor?
Good luck.
