Ecm problems
i have a 09 f250 SD. I was having problems with the engine dying at red lights, drive thrus, etc. Also driving on highways it was shifting hard & also reving up as if it was put into nuetral. Showing NO codes either. I was told from my lical shop pissibly the ecm needed updating . It was done & did not fix it. So i bought a used ecm that was updated to my VIN from my truck. I had the lical locksmith program my keys and the keys were succesfully stnced but the truck will not crank.I sentbthe part back for an exchange and the 2nd on had the same problem.I took it to the Ford dealer & they programmed my keys & Still will not startt. Anyone have this same or similar problem?

Did you put the original pcm back into the truck and see if it will crank? Does the security light come on when the key is on and you are trying to start it? If not you can try to manually crank it by jumping the starter wire to the positive battery post. There should be a starter wire on the passenger side fender well area that you can disconnect and touch to the battery positive to see if it will start. I had issues like that on a '04 6.0 I rebuilt and found it to be the remote start module. Starting from under the hood somehow reset the module and the truck started and ran fine after.
