The ol' girl

Here is a picture I found in my computer of the truck I will be working on in my spare time.

Thanks to number dummy, I now know a lot more about her than when I started.

More to follow.

Congrats, hope all goes well, etc etc, blah blah, you know. From this distance your wheels look like widow makers. UNSAFE at any speed.

I will get you some links to other threads.

You may or may not have planned on wheels, but if they are WM's, you will be.

No question they are widow makers. Trade name Firestone RH-5°. Google those two terms and you’ll find tons written about them here and pictures. Finding service on them anywhere has become difficult, but in CA I’ve got to think not at all. Tubeless 6 x 8.75” stud piloted 22.5” Accurides can be found in yards, and used military 20s can be found at military surplus places. Nice N Series truck, and I love the Holmes 600. Stu

Thanks guys, yes they are tubeless, and I thought they would be old school split rims but I cant find the "ring" anywhere on them. Military surplus sounds like a great idea, not to many around me though. Any other ideas on wheels?

No, they are not tubeless. They are “widow maker” two piece “Firestone RH-5°“. The raised band that you see on the outer rear dual is the joint where the halves connect. I could link you dozens of pictures, but a Googles Images search of those terms will give you more yet. Stu

Looks like the same thread, and it was "kind of", but there is different info in the second thread.
