I have a 09 F350 Super Duty Crew cab 8' bed Dually V10 with 50,000 miles that is driving me nuts! I love my truck but it developed a clunking feeling in the steering wheel, the gas and the brake pedal as you go down the road. Ive checked everything and nothing is loose. I even replaced upper and lower ball joints just in case and put on new tires and alignment. It doesn't seem to do it when its colder out and the hotter it gets the worse it is. Unfortunately I live in Florida so its usually HOT out.Has anyone had this issue or am I the only lucky one?
Ive tried to research to no avail. And I'm lost.
When does this clunk happen? Randomly? When driving over bumps? When braking? When accelerating? When driving through the zombie apocalypse? When the transmission shifts?
It happens while rolling down the road, Fast, Slow ,and all the time. Around a turn, in a straight line, kinda feels like a metal to metal shaft play would. you feel it but hear nothing. and Ive checked everything, Nothing is loose. Maybe clunking isn't the right word , Rattling may be a more accurate description, but without sound and nothing is loose, and worse yet as it gets hotter it gets worse. As for Zombies apocalypse Have ya seen the people going around with phones glued to their faces? I think its happening.
