Hi every one well got my truck today but did notice that there is like alot of play in the steering it is like the front will act like your driving down the road wiggling the steering wheen back and forth fast but in short movements i have noticed that the shock on the front torshion bar is new and the fron shocks still look realy good and did see that the sway bar needs all new bushings will that cause the problem?? tomarrow i am going to get all new sway bar bushings but any other help would be very good thank you for reading. oh the truck is a 2001 F250 SD 4door 4x4 with 5.4L short bed.
its like when your driving a wobble? you can keep it straight but every now and then it wobbels almost hadme worried even slowed down to keep straight and have noticed the steering wheel is not centered. would a more heavey duty stabilizer and all new sway bar bushings stop it the PO said he did replace all the ball joints before adding new tires and also a new allinment.
If the steering wheel is not centered, then the alignment that was done isn't correct.
Is this truck lifted?
You don't know what your issue is, but I can guess the previous owner is feeding you a line of bull stuff. Don't throw any more parts at the problem.
If you have a wobble and loose steering, I would strongly recommend that you get the truck into an alignment shop as soon as possible. Have the front suspension inspected. Tell them what you are experiencing.
i dont see a lift kit on the truck th tires are 285/75 R16 deep tread M/S
the ball joints are just showing a rust color on threads and still look very clean i did see wht loos likea tie rod end? that i can turn by hand with some pressure. and looking again the links? that go to the sway bar the bushing are about gone.
