That is the updated fitting. I found the same thing on my truck after purchasing an STC fitting kit, so if anyone out there wants a Motorcraft STC fitting I have one available.
Be careful back there, I remember a long thread about what happens when you drop an object in that hole. Make sure you get that area clean before the cover goes back on.

I cleaned it up good before removing the cover,didn't want to take any chances of dirt or other objects getting into engine.last thing I want is an oil leak in This area.
My IPR went bad and I decided to check this while I was working on truck.

My bad, I thought you had suspected a leak at the STC.......rare but they do go bad, but from what I've read it's the o ring most often.
